Technical Architect / Network Engineer

Manage and direct other technical contributors as a team to achieve common goals in taking a web site from requirements to acceptance, via drawing boards, prototypes, testing, and release.  Work closely with clients to identify requirements of what they want or need and document the results.  Perform RAD prototyping and hosting of JAD sessions to prepare functional and technical requirements documents.  Plan the strategic direction of corporate technology and customer server farms and maintain security through regular audits.

Develop C# software for deployment to over 500,000 Pocket PCs, using the .NET Compact Framework, SQL CE, Oracle Lite, XML and open source libraries, to support the US Census Bureau 2010 decennial collection.  Continuously analyze and develop requirements via JAD sessions to enhance automation processes, including interview workflows and data collection, multiple language support, GPS tracking and mapping services, and un-assisted data synchronizations.  Assist with all facets of the development, testing, and production process as well as participating in code reviews and re-factoring.

Responsible for the initial startup and regular operation of the seven employee company, including technical direction, accounting and payroll, sales and marketing, human resources and financial management.  Services provided included software engineering, systems integration, network design and administration, and web design and hosting.  Cultivated reoccurring revenue sales base by implementing an Application Service Provider infrastructure for providing clients with seamless web hosting and development services. 

  

Project manager and technical lead for projects using C, C++, COM, Java and FoxPro to develop wireless systems, network operation centers, telephony & CTI applications, communication and remote monitoring networks, and embedded systems for clients such as General Electric, ARINC, and Lockheed Martin.  Produced accounting, billing systems and e-commerce enabled web sites using ASP, Perl, IIS, Access, Oracle, and SQL Server for clients such as World Links, US Internetworking and the Steven Forbes Presidential Campaign site.
