CMC is an experienced consulting company that has completed many successful projects on schedule and within budget requirements, such as:

  • A web based ADA tutorial system for the Department of Defense based on the Java language. Utilizing Netscape and IE browsers' version 3.x-4.x, a web based GUI was designed to interface with an MS SQL server backend. Inter-applet communications and web database connectivity features comprised the primary functionality of the system.

  • A sub-contract with GE LogistiCom for the development of a satellite network ground station covering the North American continent. The objective was to provide a user-friendly application interface package along with complete documentation and technical support. Initial performance resulted in continuing into multi-phase development and selection as the software maintenance contractor for this product. The ground system was hosted on Windows NT Servers, using C++ for network communications, and Visual FoxPro and MS SQL Server for GUI and database storage capabilities. Fault tolerance, redundancy, and real-time mapping and tracking features were added in successive phases of development.

  • A software development contract was awarded by Galaxis USA, Ltd. to develop embedded software to control DSS satellite tracking in marine environments for equipment manufactured by Lockheed Martin. Based on the 8051 microprocessor chipset, the software was written in the C language using the Archimedes compiler suite. The initial hardware and software was capable of compensating antenna angles for ship motion while at dockside. In subsequent releases, compensation motion at speeds up to 40mph was achieved.

  • A development effort to create a software and registration system is in its final testing phase. Implementing e-commerce, web database connectivity (DHTML), and one-to-one marketing capabilities, this system allows software end-users to register via the web or a client GUI written in C++ for Win 9.x and NT environments. Purchasing and reporting capabilities exist using secured transactions for software creators who use the system to distribute and track their software online.

  • A systems integration contract with Millennium Networks to design a network operations center for their proprietary localized wireless network. Development of client PDA software targeted for the Palm Operating System to deliver custom advertisement content.

  • Enhancements to existing customer products to enable the capability of speech recognition as an alternative interface to a keyboard. Projects include a time and billing entry program for law firms and a commercial grade product for mass distribution in the entertainment market.
