background
 Who?

Hi, my name is Jason Seaton and I am a software consultant based in Churchton, Maryland.  It's a small town on the bay just south of Annapolis.

"Known as the "Systems Builders" of the types, perhaps in part because they possess the unusual trait combination of imagination and reliability. Whatever system they happen to be working on is for them the equivalent of a moral cause."
What?
In addition to my resume, I intend to post downloads and code for any projects I work on that might be of general interest and that are not closed source.  If you like pictures more then words, I also have a google gallery.

Why?
Serving as a development staging area, this site is both a place for me to publish my resume and to serve as a sandbox for various projects.

interests

Technology, of all sorts, but computers primarily.  My first computer was a TRS-80 II, programming in BASIC and I have not looked back since learning C.  After my first full service company cmc, I have owned and operated seatonsoft as an independent software consultant.

Science, although admittedly as an arm-chair scientist.  I enjoy reading and learning about most topics, especially history and sciences such as cosmology.  I am considering whether to build on my B.S. in Computer Science towards an M.S. or possibly blending it with another discipline entirely.

Music, in many forms including rock, blues, jazz, and classical.  I started playing guitar and piano when I was very young and started playing drums around the age of 12.  I played in a few live bands before recently buying an electronic drum kit.
